…several members of the Easton community decided that people needed help around the holidays. They weren’t sure how to help, but they knew they could cook a good meal and invite anyone who needed it to join them.

And from these humble beginnings, Project Hope of Easton was born. Since then, we have grown year after year, offering food, gifts, groceries, and holiday joy to over 700 people per season.

Meet Our board

  • Judy met the family who started Project Hope of Easton out of their own home 25 years ago. As the event and the need grew, Judy joined them as a volunteer, initially collecting gifts and gently used winter clothing. A few years later, when the original family moved away, she saw how much the event meant to the community and decided to carry on the tradition. She, alongside some other longstanding volunteers, took over, establishing Project Hope as an official non-profit, organizing the board, and getting their first corporate sponsors. Now, decades later, she has continued to grow the organization, reliably serving Easton’s wider community for the holidays and beyond.

  • Barbara is a dedicated mom and HR practitioner who’s passionate about people and purpose. She has been a board member for Project Hope for 2 years. She believes charity and compassion are at the heart of everything meaningful. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with family.

Lonni Smith

  • Eileen has been volunteering for the past 17 years on the Board of Project Hope.

“My husband and I wanted to teach our son to give to others at a young age, which is how I got involved with such a worthwhile organization.  I am in charge of our “clothing boutique” collecting, organizing and providing new and gently used coats, new socks, handmade hats, gloves, scarves and blankets by local knitting groups. Project Hope allows me the giving spirit during the holidays.”

  • Andrea is a lifelong Eastonian, and attended Cedar Crest College, studying Criminal Justice. She is currently a Coordinator and mother of 3 amazing children, and has served on the board of Project Hope of Easton for over three years. As a child, she attended Project Hope of Easton Christmas events herself, and always looks forward to providing that experience to the children of Easton’s community.

  • Alesha has been a volunteer with Project Hope for 3 years and on the board for 1 year. She is a wife, mother to four busy children, and active member of her church, St. Jane's in Easton. She is the principal of Our Lady of Perpetual Help k-8 elementary school. She is passionate about charitable work, her faith, and her family.

  • Dr. Stanley Walker has been a doctor in Easton for over five decades. He first became involved with Project Hope of Easton because it was started by one of his patients who asked him to be one of their earliest sponsors. As the years went by, Stanley’s involvement grew, and he and his wife eventually became board members after the founders passed the baton, moving out of the area. He has been a sponsor and board member now for over 20 years, and Project Hope has become a staple of his efforts to support the Easton community that means so much to him.

In addition to practicing Internal Medicine and Primary Care, Stanley also teaches medicine, having established and built two residency programs, one in New Jersey and one in California.
